Carrot Autumn King has been a favourite of home gardeners for many years. A maincrop or late carrot with large tapered roots which can reach 10 or 12 inches long. One of the best main crop varieties Carrot Autumn King is a consistent deep red colour, it resists greening and splitting and is usually the last carrot to mature. Although Autumn King is traditionally left in the ground to increase the yield it is stunningly sweet when picked smaller at around 6-8 inches and eaten fresh. A very healthy and vigorous carrot Autumn King will crop around 70 days after sowing. Renown as a good keeper Autumn King can also be left in the ground to overwinter and harvested as needed. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
