Product Information

A very old variety cabbage Glory of Enkhuizen was originally bred in 1899 and released by N. V. Sluis en Groot's Koninklijke Zaadteelt en Zaadhandel of Enkhuizen, Netherlands in 1902. A medium early cabbage, the heads are a blue-green colour, can reach up to 9 inches in diameter and a weight of 2.5 – 3.5 kilos. Cabbage Glory of Enkhuizen is a good keeper, ideal for storage or for immediate use. As with all cabbage this variety needs well consolidated soil so leave several months between digging and planting. Add farmyard manure to the soil when digging but never apply fresh manure before planting. Birds can be a problem and young seedlings will need protection from sparrows. Mature cabbage may also need some protection from pigeons.
