Product Information

Glen Ample

Raspberries are considered one of our most popular summer fruits and now with so many new varieties they are generally speaking very easy to grow.

The modern, more compact varieties means they can now be grown in even the smallest of gardens or if space is very limited they can be cropped in containers.

This exceptional, high yielding mid-season cultivar produces heavy crops of berries from late June until late July.

The large, fleshy, deep red, succulent berries have an outstanding flavour and are excellent eaten fresh but they can also be frozen for later use.

Cropping on spine free canes with relatively few leaves the fruit holds well without spoiling making picking an easy and pleasurable job.

Glen Ample is reputed to be the best and heaviest cropping mid-season raspberry.

Shows strong disease resistance.

All our canes are UK grown, carefully selected and hand graded, they are trimmed to approx. 40cm and are securely packed to reduce stress and help avoid damage in transit.

PACK 10 Bare-root Canes

Ensure delivery in time for the new planting season

Multiple purchases attract discounts.

If ordering a number of items please email us before paying and we will send an invoice by return.

When ordering please keep in mind that delivery dates may vary a little if harvest or weather conditions become difficult.

Canes should be unpacked on delivery and if not to be planted immediately should be placed in a shallow trench and the roots completely covered with moist sand or soil until planting time.

We ask all our buyers to remember plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons.  Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year and just enjoying a well-earned rest before bursting into action for the new season. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and all our items are checked and inspected visually before packing. In the unlikely event of a problem please advise us within 48hrs of delivery. Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. Goods will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission for their return.  Refunds will be issued when items are received back in saleable condition within 14 days from original despatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been despatched in error.
