Product Information

Commonly known as Cranes-bill. First grown in the British Isles in the 16th century. Should not be confused with the half hardy Pelargonium which is popularly referred to as "Geranium". The Geranium of the herbaceous border is a hardy perennial which is grown as a ground cover plant, its mounds of dense and deeply divided leaves serving to suppress weed growth. Geraniums thrive in any resonable soil.  "Album" is immensely popular and is smothered in pristine white flowers from April - July. Excellent as ground cover and will thrive in any shaded area. Perfect for illuminating a dark woodland spot.  The saucer shaped flowers should be removed once they have faded. Keep watch for slugs in spring and cut back the stems to ground level in autumn. Plants supplied as bare-root crowns.
