This annual prostrate plant commonly know as Sweet Alyssum only grows10 - 20cm tall.
An old-fashioned favourite.
In spring the dainty, spreading plants are covered with clusters of small, sweetly scented honey yielding flowers much loved by bees.
The delicate plants have many uses in the garden they are wonderful for edging a flower bed, filling a container, brightening up a rock garden or falling gracefully over the edge of a hanging basket.
Easy to grow and very dependable Alyssum flowers quickly from seed and is often used as a companion plant to spring flowering bulbs.
At its best in cool weather it blooms profusely in spring and often produces a second crop of rich white, pink and blue flowers in autumn.
