TULIP “Fritz Kreisler”

This tulip has short stems and large flowers with slightly reflexed petals. A beautiful luscious watermelon pink, the petals fade to a paler shade along the edges. The blossoms resemble water-lilies when fully open and are noted for their striking colour. Wind-resistant and ground-hugging the foliage is sometimes mottled or striped. A dependable bloomer, “Fritz Kreisler” is often used for permanent plantings and is a wonderful companion for early daffodils. Plant the bulbs in fertile, well-drained, soil, during autumn. Performs best in full sun but will tolerate partial shade. Remove the flowers as they fade to prevent plants setting seed but allow foliage to yellow and wither for approx. 6 weeks before removing it.
