Product Information

DAFFODIL

Pheasants Eye

Often referred to as The Poet’s Daffodil, Daffodil Pheasants Eye is usually the last narcissus to bloom, not coming into colour until May.

A very old, almost ancient cultivar, a true heirloom species, ranked among the oldest members of the flower family, and very close to the true wild form.

Standing just 12 inches tall this daffodil is a charming combination of large, pure white reflex petals with a yellow cup edged red and a bit of green inside.

It is this green on the inside cup or eye that gives Pheasant’s Eye its name.

A strong delicious spicy fragrance adds to the charm of this unique flower.

Ideal for naturalizing, Daffodil Pheasants Eye is equally at home in beds, borders and containers.

Well suited to colder climates, it is particularly good in mountain areas.

If you want an authentically wild look and a spectacular show of bloom, this is the one.

One of the most perennial daffodils of them all, once planted you have them forever.

If you are looking for something truly unique to plant this year, we suggest Daffodil Pheasants Eye.

Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. Goods will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission for their return.  A valid reason for return must be quoted. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been despatched in error.

We ask all our buyers to please remember plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, your plants will look great during the growing season. Please don’t panic if a plant looks different to the image on the website. It is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year and just ‘resting’ before it bursts into action in the coming season. Plants do look very different throughout the year. Particularly in winter, many shrubs lose their leaves and will look rather bare and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.
