ESCALLONIA Ingramii

A magnificent, strong growing shrub of compact habit and medium size. Large shining deep green leaves and deep rose chalice-shaped flowers. Leaves are aromatic when crushed. Excellent as a hedge especially in costal areas. Lime tolerant and drought resistant it will thrive on any well drained soil. Easy to maintain, simply cut back the old flowering growth immediately after flowering. Large unwieldy plants may also be hard pruned at this time. May grow to around 4 m. x 1 m. if left untrimmed. Plants are despatched as well rooted Jumbo Plugs ready to grow on in 9/10 cm pots and are approx 4-5 ins tall
