Most of the year it is a good filler shrub but the real deal comes in Summer.
In June and July it is a spray of graceful arching branches covered with showy, creamy white clusters of lightly fragrant flowers.
Tough and hardy x vanhouttei will tolerate full sun or light shade and many different soil types as long as the drainage is good.
Prune from late winter to early spring.
Deadheading old blooms will help extend the flowering season.
